Anusol HC Ointment
Anusol HC Ointment helps to relieve the swelling, itch and irritation of internal piles (haemorrhoids) and anal itching. It contains the following ingredients: Hydrocortisone acetate is a mild steroid which helps reduce inflammation. Zinc oxide and Bismuth salts are mildly astringent and antiseptic. They soothe and protect raw areas. Balsam Peru is mildly antiseptic and has a protective action on sore areas and may help healing. Benzyl benzoate has mild antiseptic properties.

Suggested Directions: Always read packaging and enclosed leaflet before use. If the person taking this medicine has any medical conditions or is taking other medication consult your pharmacist or doctor before use.
- Adults: Clean and dry the anal area. Apply Anusol HC Ointment sparingly to the affected area in the morning and after each bowel movement up to 4 times in one day.
- Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days.
- Wash your hands before and after using Anusol.
- Not recommended for children.
- If symptoms persist or worsen seek medical advice.
Ingredients: The active ingredients as per 100g: Hydrocortisone acetate 0.25g, Zinc oxide 10.75 g, Bismuth subgallate 2.25g, Balsam peru 1.875 g, Bismuth oxide 0.875 g and Benzyl benzoate 1.25g.
Other ingredients are: Magnesium stearate, theobroma oil, wool fat (lanolin anhydrous), castor oil, kaolin light, white soft paraffin and calcium hydrogen posphate.
What else to know: For external and internal piles, Ointment or Cream can be used. If internal haemorrhoids are the problem, Suppositories deliver a measured dose to the affected area.
