Disprin Extra Strength Tablets
The ingredient that makes Disprin Extra Strength work (the active ingredient) is Aspirin. Aspirin belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works to relieve pain and inflammation. Disprin Extra Strength can be used to relieve mild to moderate pain (such as headache, toothache and nerve pain), reduce temperature and inflammation, such as lower back pain.

Suggested Directions: Always read packaging and enclosed leaflet before use. If the person taking this medicine has any medical conditions or is taking other medication consult your pharmacist or doctor before use.
Directions: Dissolve tablet in water immediately before taking.
Dosage: Adults and children 16 and over: 1 tablet every three to four hours.
Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Elderly patients are particularly susceptible to the adverse effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Unsupervised prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the elderly is not recommended.
Not recommended for children under 16 years.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
If symptoms persist or worsen beyond 3 days seek medical advice.
Ingredients: Each Tablet contain the active ingredient: Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid) 500mg.
Other Ingredients: Calcium Carbonate, Maize Starch, Citric Acid Anhydrous, Talc, Sodium Laurilsulphate, Saccharin, Crospovidone and Lime Flavour 2
What else to know:
Do not take Disprin Extra Strength if you:
- are allergic any of the ingredients
- have or have ever had a stomach ulcer perforation or bleeding
- have or have ever had a bleeding disorder
- have severe liver or kidney problems
- are under 16 years of age
- have or have ever had severe heart failure
