Emazole Control 20 mg Gastro-resistant Tablets
Emazole Control reduces stomach acid at the source to help provide relief, all day and all night. Just one pill a day can prevent heartburn from recurring for up to 24 hours helping to keep you heartburn-free. Emazole Control contains a medicine called esomeprazole. This belongs to a group of medicines called ‘proton pump inhibitors’. They work by reducing the amount of acid that your stomach produces. This medicine is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation).

This belongs to a group of medicines called ‘proton pump inhibitors’. They work by reducing the amount of acid that your stomach produces. This medicine is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation).
Information
Suggested Directions: Always read packaging and enclosed leaflet before use. If the person taking this medicine has any medical conditions or is taking other medication consult your pharmacist or doctor before use.
- Adults: Take one 20mg tablet once a day. You can take your tablets at any time of the day. You can take your tablets with food or on an empty stomach.
- The tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush. Do not exceed this dose.
- May take 2-3 days for full effect.
- If your symptoms worsen, do not improve or persist after taking this medicine for 14 days, contact your doctor.
- Do not take antacids or other indigestion treatments at the same time as Nexium Control.
- This product is not recommended for persons under 18 years of age.
Ingredients: The active substance is esomeprazole. Each gastro resistant tablet contains 20 mg esomeprazole (as magnesium dihydrate).
The other ingredients are: Tablet core: sucrose, maize starch, liquid glucose, hydroxypropylcellulose, povidone, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1), glycerol monostearate, propylene glycol, stearic acid, polysorbate 80, simeticone, microcrystalline cellulose, macrogol 6000, crospovidone, silica colloidal anhydrous, magnesium stearate.
Tablet coating: hypromellose, macrogol 6000, titanium dioxide (E171), talc, red and yellow iron oxide (E172).
What else to know: Do not take Nexium Control:
- If you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the other ingredients.
- If you are allergic to medicines containing other proton pump inhibitors (e.g. pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole or omeprazole).
- If you are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir (used to treat HIV infection).
