Suggested Directions: Always read packaging and enclosed leaflet before use. If the person taking this medicine has any medical conditions or is taking other medication consult your pharmacist or doctor before use.
- Adults including the elderly and children over 12: The recommended dose is 2 to 4 tablets in 24 hours, to be taken at night.
- Not suitable for use in children under 12 years.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Once regularity has been regained doses should be reduced and can usually be stopped.
- Dose can be repeated on a daily basis until bowel action is restored, but if there is no bowel movement within three days of use, consult your doctor. If the symptoms persist or worsen during the use of the medicinal product, a doctor should be consulted.
Ingredients: The active ingredient is senna. Each tablet contains standardised powdered senna equivalent to 7.5mg total sennosides calculated as Sennoside B. This medicine also contains: calcium phosphate, maize starch, lactose & magnesium stearate.
What else to know: Starts to works in 8-12 hours. Do not take if:
- You know you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
- You have a sharp or severe pain in your stomach which may be symptoms of appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis, or abdominal pain of unknown origin.
- Have a kidney or heart condition.
